Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC
The vineyard in Vienna-Stammersdorf forms the basis for the Wiener gemischter Satz DAC.
A piece of Vienna in a glass – At the foot of the Bisamberg, where the gentle hills of the city of Vienna open up towards the Weinviertel, grow the grapes for our wine, which stands for Viennese wine culture like no other: the Wiener Gemischte Satz Bisamberg DAC from the Schwarzböck winery.
Origin with character
Geologically, the Bisamberg forms the north-eastern continuation of the Vienna Woods: calcareous sandstone and clay marl, with sandy loam and loess on top – a combination that brings fruit and finesse to the wine. The continental climate with Pannonian influences ensures warm days and cool nights – ideal conditions for aromatic grapes and elegant acidity.
Variety in a glass
Schwarzböck’s Wiener Gemischte Satz Bisamberg DAC combines Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Goldmuskateller – a composition that perfectly embodies the concept of the “Gemischter Satz”: Different grape varieties grow together in the vineyard, are harvested at the same time and processed together. The result is more than the sum of its parts.
Tasting note and food recommendation
The nose already reveals a fine interplay of aromas reminiscent of ripe pears and peaches. On the palate, the wine is fruity, elegant and harmonious, with a supportive, lively acidity structure. With 12.5% alcohol by volume, 6.0 g/l acidity and 4.3 g/l residual sugar, it is balanced and easy to drink – a prime example of Viennese terroir.
Whether Viennese schnitzel, fried chicken or seasonal vegetable dishes – this Gemischter Satz is a real all-rounder at the table. Its freshness and structure make it the ideal partner for classic Viennese dishes.
